The BRC Food (British Retail Consortium Food Safety Standard) is an international standard for quality and product safety, developed by the British Retail Consortium (BRC) and recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). It ensures that food producers meet high standards of quality, hygiene, safety and operations, while protecting end consumers. Today, certification to the BRC Food Safety System is a basic requirement for many of the world's leading retailers, food producers and caterers - and more and more Swedish food chains are seeking certification to its guidelines.
As the standard is not a requirement for producers in Sweden, far from all actors have embraced it. At Steglinge , safety, responsibility and sustainability have always been central values, so for us it has been a matter of course with these audits. This year we are proud to announce that at this year's audit, which was completed last week, we raised our certification even further and have now reached the highest grade - AA. In recent years, we have been at level A, but the fact that we have now made the step to AA is proof of our continuous work on quality and safety at all levels - something we are extremely proud of.
This certification is a recognition of the daily hard work put into improvement measures and at the same time a strong motivation to continue developing our business.
Yesterday, cake was served to the entire workforce and CEO Gustav Gibrand together with Production Manager Isam Al Hadad gave speeches expressing their gratitude and pride.
In addition to thanking our fantastic team here at Steglinge , we would also like to thank our partners and our customers. You are all part of our journey towards continuous improvement - together we create security and quality for the future.
Achieving AA certification is a great success, but it is also just one step on the way. We continue to develop our processes, invest in sustainable solutions and ensure that our production meets the demands of tomorrow. Our ambition is to remain at the forefront of quality and food safety - and we look forward to setting the bar even higher in the future.
