On Monday, this year's quality audit began, which is unannounced every third year, according to BRCGS Food Safety (a recognized food safety quality system), and it was not until Wednesday that it was completed—three full days of thorough review of every part of our business. Shortly thereafter, the news came: Steglinge achieved the highest possible rating—AA+.
Receiving an AA rating is the highest possible rating. Having a + after it means that the audit was unannounced. In practice, this means that the audits arrive without warning and follow the business as it is in everyday life.
Achieving AA+ is proof that our routines and processes are absolutely top-notch – every day, all year round. It is a fantastic result of the long-term quality work that the entire organization contributes to, from raw material reception and production to hygiene, documentation, and traceability. The result shows that we not only meet the requirements, but actually exceed them.
" This is a fantastic result and something the whole team should be very proud of. An unannounced audit is the most demanding form of inspection, and the fact that we achieved AA+ shows that our procedures work in practice, every day. It's a strong message for the whole business," says Stefan Rolf, Quality Manager at Steglinge.
Behind this result lies systematic and determined work, where we continuously develop our processes and work closely with both suppliers and customers. The AA+ rating means that Steglinge to be a reliable and stable partner for both retail and foodservice – with products that maintain the highest standards, regardless of the day or season.
Finally, we would like to thank our strong team. From the quality department, warehouse, office, workshop/maintenance, and not least all departments in production, with all the fantastic people who work hard every day to contribute to the best of the business. Every employee is part of this result and can rightly feel very proud today.
