As part of our long-term efforts to develop our operations and ensure the highest possible quality, Steglinge is investing in a new, modern CO₂ refrigeration system. The investment includes approximately 2,500 m² of vegetable cold storage and represents an important step toward more energy-efficient and sustainable refrigeration management.

The new facility provides the conditions for reliable and efficient cooling with consistent and stable temperatures. This is a key factor in preserving the quality, freshness, and shelf life of the vegetables throughout our entire handling and storage process.

A key part of this initiative is the choice of CO₂ as a refrigerant. CO₂ is a natural, non-flammable refrigerant with a very low climate impact compared to traditional fluorinated refrigerants, known as F-gases. By choosing this technology, we are taking another step toward more sustainable and future-proof solutions in our production.

The project also includes other safety solutions focused on ensuring a safe work environment for our employees. Among other things, gas monitoring systems, customized ventilation, and other well-designed safety systems are being installed to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the facility.

This investment is part of our long-term development efforts, which focus on quality, operational reliability, sustainability, and good working conditions. Using modern technology and future-proof solutions, we continue to develop our operations to meet the demands of both today and tomorrow.
